Education
We are developing reading skill of children at
primary level to increase their interest and
retention in school. Monitoring and strengthening formal
education, non-formal bridge course centers and Reading
Room (library) programs are making the school environment more
child friendly and learning more joyful. Advocacy for Child Rights
especially right to development and participation are the integral part
of our programs.
Objective
Developing reading skills in children of primary level to increase retention and interest in school through alternative reading (library) and joyful learning environment. Strengthening community support & monitoring of schools and advocacy of child rights are key strategies of our program.
Major Achievements
- 10250 children of 91 schools enhanced reading skills and retention in school
- 95,842 book transactions held by 16147 including children,teachings and communtity members
- 1024 children were enabled by their participation in various decisions making processes and library management through Bal Manch
