Reproductive Health Care for mothers and their babies and treatment of tuberculosis are our core areas of work as they affect majority of the less privileged section. First Care & Support Centre “Asha Niketan” in Rajasthan for People Living with HIV/AIDS was established by DISHA in 2002. Awareness, training and linkages for increasing access to services are the key activities.

Objective

Increase access and improve quality of govt. health delivery system through 8617 trained community members of village health & sanitation committees.

Major Achievements

• Increase access and improve quality of govt. health delivery system through 8617 trained community members of village health & sanitation committees.
• Provided care and support services and special entitlements to 65 People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) helping them to live a productive and dignified life through Rajasthan’s first Care & Support Centre based at Kanakheri village of Shrinagar Block, and its livelihood interventions.
